<Abstract>

In this paper, equations for the waveform and the design relationships are derived for the class DE amplifier with nonlinear output capacitances. From the analytical waveform equations, it is shown that the nonlinearity of the output capacitances affects to the waveforms only during the dead-time intervals. The operation of the class DE amplifier has two kinds of the dead-times in one period. The waveforms for both dead-time intervals exhibit symmetry. This symmetry causes cancellation of the influence of the nonlinearity on the load network elements, which is an important result in this paper. The validity of our analysis is confirmed by PSpice simulations.
