QoS routing method in multichannel wireless hybrid networks
In wireless hybrid networks using multichannel, a routing protocol to balance the load among APs (Access Points) has been proposed. In the protocol, the data-receiving nodes switch their channels and associate with other APs. However, the QoS (Quality of Service) has not been considered yet when various flows concentrate on a certain AP. This paper proposes a routing protocol considering the QoS in multichannel wireless hybrid networks. In the proposed protocol, low-priority flows keep a load among the APs by switching the channels. On the other hand, high-priority flows change the AP by switching the channels only when the quality of the communication is deteriorated. This paper shows performance evaluations by the network simulation and proves the effectiveness of the proposed protocol. |
