<Abstract>

Although quantitative throughput analyses have been conducted for wireless multi-hop netwoks, RTS/CTS defined as an option in IEEE 802.11 is not well-considered in most of these analyses. Because RTS/CTS has been recognized effective in terms of packet collision avoidance in real networks, it is important to theoretically analyze the throughput considering such situations. This report presents the theoretical analysis of the maximum throughput for one-way UDP flow in case when RTS/CTS is used in linear multi-hop networks. The validity of the analysis is proven through the comparison of results between the analysis and the simulation.
