<Abstract>

The class-E^2 dc-dc converter, which consists of the class-E inverter and the class-E recti er, can achieve a high power-conversion efficiency at high frequencies when both the inverter and the recti er satisfy the class-E zero-voltage switching and zero -derivative switching (ZVS/ZDS) conditions. The operation satisfying the class-E ZVS/ZDS conditions is called \nominal operation". Because the load and control parameters vary from the nominal operation values, the converter operates outside nominal operation under the control. Forachieving a high power-conversion efficiency under the control, it is effective to satisfy the ZVS. In this paper, an output control for the class-E2 dc-dc converter achieving ZVS is presented. By using the analytical expressions of the class-E^2 dc-dc converter outside nominal operation, the values of control parameters for satisfying theZVS and constant output voltage can be obtained. The circuit experiments were carried out, which showed the validity of the obtained control parameter values.
