Output power capability comparisons of class E power ampliers
with harmonic resonance <Abstract> This paper investigates a Flat-top class E inverter, and the already known class EF2 and E/F3 inverters. All of these inverters are based on the conception of adding a harmonic resonant circuit to the classic class E inverter. The purpose of this paper is tond the best strategy of the harmonic injection to improve the performance of class E inverter. Selected results of a numerical optimization of class EF2, E/F3 and Flat{ top class E inverter are shown and discussed. The optimization using the numerical algorithm maximizes the output power capability of each inverter, and class EF2 inverter shows the best performance against others. Experimental results of class EF2 and class E inverters are showed to verify the presented theory. |
