<Abstract>

In IEEE 802.11p Enhanced Distributed Channel Access (EDCA), which is standardization for vehi- cle-to-vehicle and road-to-vehicle communications, the previous analytical expression of saturated throughput is different from measurement and simulation ones. It is clarified in this paper that the differences appear because the previous Markov model express node operations posterior to a frame transmission roughly. In addition, this paper proposes a modified Markov model by adding new state in the Markov model. The validity of the proposed analytical expressions is confirmed by showing the quantitative agreements with simulation results.
