Analysis and design of class-E/F3 inverter <Abstract> This paper presents an analytical expression of the class-E/F3 inverter. Their performance can be com- prehended in a theoretical manner by using the analytical expression. An in-depth investigation is provided in terms of switch voltage and current stresses and the power output capability. By investigating the entire parameter spaces, it is possible to obtain the circuit component values, which give the highest power-output capability and zero output reactance of resonant circuit against the fundamental component. Experiment evaluations of the class-E/F3 and the class-3 inverters with the highest power output capability are presented. The analytical predictions agreed with experimental and PSpice-simulation results quantitatively, which showed the validity of analytical expressions in this paper. |
