<Abstract>

This paper presents a novel class-E_M power amplifier for low harmonic contents and high output power. In the proposed class-E_M power amplifier, two class-E_M power amplifiers are connected in parallel at the output filter. By applying the push-pull configuration, the proposed class-E_M power amplifier obtains the extremely low total harmonic distortion (THD) and four times higher output power than the conventional single class-E_M power amplifier. Moreover, design curves of the proposed class E_M power amplifier are given for achieving the smooth switching conditions. For obtaining the design curves, we consider the MOSFET drain-tosource nonlinear parasitic capacitances. It shows that the PSpice-simulation waveforms agree with numerical predictions quantitatively which validates the effectiveness of the proposed class-E_M power amplifier and accuracy of the design curves given in this paper.
