Design of wireless power transfer system with class E inverter and
half-bridge class DE rectifier at any fixed coupling coefficient
This paper proposes a wireless power transfer system with Class E inverter and half-bridge Class DE rectifier. The proposed system consists of a Class E inverter, a half-bridge Class DE rectifier, and a loosely coupling transformer. Both the inverter and the rectifier achieve zero-voltage switching (ZVS) and zerovoltage derivative switching (ZVDS) at an optimum coupling coefficient. Therefore the switching losses are reduced under high operation frequency. The proposed system was designed, built, and tested. The circuit operation was confirmed at any fixed coupling coefficient with simulation and circuit experiment. Under the condition of the optimum coupling coefficient 0.1754 at 1.000 MHz, the measured power conversion efficiency was 70.99 % with the output power 2.320 W. |
