Analysis of class-D ZVS inverter with asymmetrical
duty-cycle control for wireless power transfer applications
This paper presents steady-state analytical expressions of the class-D zero-voltage switching (ZVS) inverter with asymmetrical duty-cycle control for wireless power transfer applications. In the asymmetrical duty-cycle control , the output current contains harmonic components. The obtained analytical expressions consider harmonic components of output current. Additionally, MOSFET anti-parallel diode effect is included in the analytical expressions for expressing the ZVS operation. As a result, the analytical expressions of the steady-state waveforms can be obtained with high accuracy. This paper also shows the control strategies against load variations, which is one of the applications of the analytical expressions. The validity of the analytical expressions was confirmed from quantitative agreements with experimental waveforms. |
