<Abstract>

This paper proposes a route construction method for reducing the packet loss and power consumption in 6LoWPAN/RPL. The proposed method uses multiple mobile sink nodes. Sink nodes is activated alternately. When changing the activated sink node, the newly-activated sink node transmits a route construction message while the previously- activated sink node transmits a network free message. The proposed method reduces the packet loss by decreasing the route construction time. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
