<Abstract>

Recently, high node density environments increases due to the diffusion of mobile wireless nodes. Simultaneous transmissions of multiple nodes often occur at high node density environments. There is a possibility that a frame can be decoded correctly in spite of simultaneous transmissions of multiple nodes, which is called the capture effect. This research proposes an analytical model of throughput for WLANs, taking into account capture effect. The validity of the obtained model is confirmed by comparisons with simulation results.
