<Abstract>

This work introduces an investigation of the impact of buffer size on the Multipath TCP communication on a wireless system with Wi-Fi and LTE. MPTCP typically transfers data on several different networks for throughput and resilience enhancements. Because of that instinct of MPTCP, the packets over different paths need to resequence at a receiver fs buffer. Hence, the buffer size inherently affects overall MPTCP performance. Motivated by that, we conduct an experimental study on the state-of-the-art congestion controls with various buffer size settings to quantify the impacts.
