Musical noise reduction by spectral subtraction using morphological filter
This paper presents a musical noise reduction by spectral subtraction using morphological filter. The proposed method utilizes that the musical noise appears as isolating islands on spectrogram, and morphological filter is suitable for eliminating small isolating shapes. Therefore, the enhanced speech using the proposed method contains less musical noise without threshold. In addition, computational efforts of the proposed method is less than those of the conventional method. From the performance evaluation, we find that the proposed method reduces not only musical noise but computational efforts compared with the conventional method. |
