<Abstract>

It is important to analyze the maximum-throughput in the IEEE 802.11 multi-hop networks with two-way flows quantitatively. This is because two-way-flow network is a model of the VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol)-application traffic. This paper presents an analytical expression of the maximum throughput for short-hop string networks with two-way flows. The comparisons among analytical and simulation results prove the validity of the presented analytical expressions.
