<Abstract>

The Internet of Things (IoT) and Distributed Ledger/Blockchain technologies have potentially fulfilled each other toward massive adoptions of IoT-Blockchain applications. This paper will first present an integration of the well-known Ethereum and several IoT systems, considering different underlying wireless networks (i.e., centralized and ad-hoc ones). Along with that are characterization methods to understand performance metrics on the IoT-blockchain systems, such as delay or mining time. Second, we introduce an application of a non- blockchain distributed ledger (i.e., IOTA) for trading data (e.g., sensing data of IoT devices) at a fine granularity.
